Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for an Operations Officer for a 12 month contract in Toronto. This is hybrid role - twice a week in office (Possibility of change to more days). There is a high possibility of contract extension and conversion.

Pay rate:
$22.00/ Hour

Working Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Overtime is required, depends on volume

Responsibilities
As an Operations Officer, your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Processing transactions accurately and on time
  • Escalating processing issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained
  • Serving clients as required – adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and internal service delivery standards
  • Following firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the firm or clients
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and support process improvement initiatives
  • Developing and Managing the Team/Teamwork
  • Supporting the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
  • Ensuring adherence to all HR policies, other Bank, and Industry Codes of Conduct
  • Keeping others informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects and all relevant or useful information related to day to day activities
  • Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Multi-tasking with multiple applications
  • Following firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the firm or clients
  • Adapting to fast paced environment/ under pressure / high volumes
  • Ensuring documentation prepared/completed is accurate and properly reflects client/business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules/regulations
  • Knowing and applying system capabilities, ensure upload/download of information is completed timely and accurately
  • Assisting in analysis, development, testing, and implementation of operating and process improvement
Qualifications

  • Attention to detail a must – must adhere to guidelines due to audits, complying with government requirements
  • Accuracy
  • Excel skills knowledge – advanced – will be using 100% of the time – need to run macros for each request – need to be able to manipulate macros/troubleshooting. Need to have proven experience with examples for interviews
  • Typing – strong typing skills – no WPM require but must be quick
  • Strong communication – strong English skills (communicating with stakeholders and front-line partners)
  • Comfortable with virtual training
  • Previous work under tight deadlines (SLAs)

Nice to have:

  • ISM Company system
  • Previous banking experience
  • Familiar with VBA
  • Create macros to troubleshoot
  • RSP/TFSA knowledge
  • Wealth management experience
