Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and servicing automated gates and access control systems, as well as performing repairs and maintenance on automatic door systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service automated gates and access control systems
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on automatic door systems
  • Use welding techniques to assist with operations and repairs
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with customers
  • Read manuals and use correct resources to perform repairs on various brands of doors and gates
  • Maintain inventory on company service vehicle to effectively perform service calls
  • Monitor vehicle for potential service issues and report any concerns to management
  • Work efficiently in small teams to complete daily tasks and assignments
  • Rotate after-hours phone duties with other employees and respond to emergency calls
  • Remain in contact with the Service Administrator throughout the day
  • Assist Project Manager with other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with installation and/or service of automatic door systems
  • Electromechanical repair skills are considered an asset
  • Welding experience is preferred
  • Valid G Class driver's license
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing and able to work on a rotating on-call schedule when required
