Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Host/Cashier to join our team at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. As a Host/Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring every guest has a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner, and thank them as they leave the restaurant.
  • Reservation Management: Manage the reservation system to retain guest preferences and pre-assign seating when necessary.
  • Table Management: Escort guests to tables, assist in seating, present menus, and extend pleasantries.
  • Communication: Communicate constantly with management and service staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities, in-house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code.
  • Telephone Etiquette: Answer restaurant telephones courteously and efficiently.
  • Language and Communication: Speak to guests' and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
  • Anticipating Guest Needs: Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
  • Engagement: Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.
  • Physical Demands: Stand and sit for extended periods of time, frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds or more, and perform other physical demands as required.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Physical Abilities: Performs duties which require bending & reaching, standing or moving for up to 8+ hours, and ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
  • Appearance: Maintains a well-groomed appearance and follows all uniform guidelines.
  • Skills: Must possess strong listening skills and ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
