Seeking a skilled leader to oversee maintenance and operation of buildings, systems, and equipment, as well as supervise a team of maintenance personnel in a hospital setting. Job Title: Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance and Operations Key Responsibilities: • Ensure effective maintenance and operation of buildings, systems, grounds, equipment, and hardware • Lead, supervise, and performance manage designated staff • Participate in management of grievances and labour relations matters • Recruit staff through interviewing internal and external applicants • Participate in development of designated facilities operating budget • Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) • Monitor daily work activity of personnel to ensure safety procedures are fully complied with • Coordinate major and minor projects by reviewing working plans, drawings, and specifications • Prepare reports indicating progress of construction projects Requirements: • Trades Qualification as a journeyman in a relevant trade and/or appropriate Power Engineering certificate • Five to seven years recent, related experience including a minimum of two years direct supervisory experience • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead and inspire staff • Strong organizational, interpersonal, customer relations, communication, and facilitation skills • Comprehensive knowledge of working relationships and trades needs in a maintenance department About the Role: As Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance and Operations, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling building systems and maintenance activities, as well as supervising a team of maintenance personnel.
