We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Virtual Psychiatry Unit in Surrey, B.C. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients through a combination of telephone, virtual video/audio conference, and remote technology.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least one year of related clinical experience, preferably in mental health or substance use.
- Completion of or eligibility to complete Mental Health & Substance Use Competency Education.
- Current Class 5 Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
