We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our System Operations team in Toronto and Montreal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Microsoft Windows and Linux servers in an enterprise environment, ensuring the stability and reliability of our core computing and storage platforms.
About the Role- Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux servers in an enterprise environment
- Design, implement, and manage core network services such as DNS & DHCP, identity, and Active Directory
- Contribute to the planning and execution of changes as we migrate our operations to our newly built data centre
- Work directly with internal partners and vendors to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables
- Act as an internal systems expert, providing training and guidance to colleagues and internal partners
- University degree or equivalent professional experience
- Expert-level knowledge of operating system architecture and usage (Linux, Microsoft Windows)
- Solid understanding of systems administration challenges and best practices in a corporate computing environment
- Intermediate to advanced scripting skills, with experience in PowerShell and BASH
- Familiarity with VMware and common storage technologies
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with tasks and technologies such as OS support, maintenance, and monitoring, deployment best practices, and documentation
- Experience managing systems in AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure platforms
- Ability to visualize, design, and prototype new systems to solve business problems
- Project management skills and the ability to evaluate and estimate work effort
- Experience managing systems in a version controlled environment (Git/Gitlab)
- Previous experience deploying and managing Citrix virtual apps
