Job Description: Nova Scotia Health seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Clerk A to join our supply chain team, supporting healthcare services across the province.
About the Opportunity:
- As a key member of our team, you will assist with receiving, organizing, and distributing inventories and supplies, ensuring seamless operations.
- You will work closely with the Manager to ensure that inventory management practices are integrated within the services you provide.
- Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, shipping and receiving supplies, ordering and replenishing stock, handling equipment, and providing exceptional customer service.
- You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, maintaining a clean work area and dock, and performing other duties as needed.
About You:
- We are looking for a candidate with a Grade 12 or equivalent education and a willingness to participate in ongoing education programs.
- You should have working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs, as well as demonstrated planning, organizational, and priority setting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as leadership skills, are essential for this role.
- Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment and knowledge of inventory control are preferred.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also preferred.
Hours and Compensation:
- This is a permanent full-time position with 70 hours bi-weekly.
- The hourly rate is $23.17.
- Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
