Position Overview:

Autodesk is seeking an enthusiastic product attorney who enjoys partnering with business colleagues to understand their objectives, ensure product readiness, and help solve problems for our customers. You will focus on creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement. You have experience distilling complex legal issues into actionable advice. If you join our team, you'll be immersed in innovation and surrounded by inspiring and engaging people. You will provide a broad range of legal support to product and platform teams serving the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and partner with the business to enable Autodesk's platform vision. You will also help support M&A and integration projects.

You will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Legal. This position will be hybrid and based in Boston or Denver.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a business partner to leaders and teams serving the AEC industry and build a trusted advisor relationship. Engage with team members at all levels, including product management, software engineers, marketing and business strategy
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements critical to our product teams, including those relating to cloud service offerings, inbound technology licensing, analytics and other vendor services, developer programs, open-source projects, and technology and strategic partnerships
  • Support product readiness and release by identifying and driving resolution of issues related to intellectual property, privacy, data security, confidentiality, machine learning/AI, marketing, competition, regionalization, and other legal and regulatory issues
  • Learn and advise on the legal implications of new technologies and business models
  • Support M&A activities for specified product areas, including due diligence reviews, advising on transaction structure, execution, and integration matters, with a focus on intellectual property and go-to-market issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have a JD (Juris Doctorate) degree from an ABA accredited university and are in good standing as a member of the Bar
  • You have 5 or more years of experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses, either at a law firm or corporate legal department
  • You have experience and interest in intellectual property, privacy and technology transactions
  • You are a proficient negotiator
  • You are a collaborative team player who excels at finding solutions in a fast-paced work environment

Vous relèverez du directeur(rice) principal(e) du conseil juridique. Ce poste sera hybride et aura son siège à Boston ou Denver.

Responsabilités :

  • Participer en tant que partenaire commercial aux activités des leaders et des équipes du secteur AEC, et établir une relation de confiance avec les conseiller(ère)s. Collaborer avec les membres de l'équipe à tous les niveaux, y compris en ce qui a trait à la gestion des produits, aux ingénieur(e)s en logiciels, au marketing et à la stratégie commerciale
  • Rédiger, réviser et négocier divers accords essentiels pour nos équipes produit, notamment ceux relatifs aux offres de services infonuagiques, aux licences de technologies entrantes, aux services d'analyse et autres fournisseurs, aux programmes de développement, aux projets utilisant le code source libre, ainsi qu'aux partenariats technologiques et stratégiques
  • Favoriser la préparation et la commercialisation des produits en identifiant les problèmes liés à la propriété intellectuelle, à la vie privée, à la sécurité des données, à la confidentialité, à l'apprentissage automatique et à l'intelligence artificielle, au marketing, à la concurrence, à la régionalisation et à d'autres problèmes juridiques et réglementaires, et en gérant leur résolution
  • Se renseigner et donner des conseils sur les implications juridiques des nouvelles technologies et des nouveaux modèles d'entreprise
  • Soutenir les activités de fusion et d'acquisition dans des domaines de produits spécifiques, notamment les examens de diligence raisonnable, les conseils sur la structure des transactions, l'exécution et les questions d'intégration, en mettant l'accent sur la propriété intellectuelle et les questions de mise sur le marché

Exigences minimales :

  • Vous êtes titulaire d'un doctorat en droit (J.D.) d'une université agréée par l'ABA et êtes membre en règle du Barreau
  • Vous disposez d'au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans l'assistance juridique aux entreprises de services infonuagiques et logiciels, ou au sein d'un cabinet juridique ou d'un service juridique d'entreprise
  • Vous avez de l'intérêt pour la propriété intellectuelle, la confidentialité et les transactions technologiques, ainsi que de l'expérience dans ces domaines.
  • Vous êtes un(e) négociateur(rice) compétent(e)
  • Vous êtes un(e) collaborateur(rice) qui excelle dans la recherche de solutions dans un environnement de travail en constante évolution

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $147,500 and $238,590. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
