Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Join our team at Good Shepherd, a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, as a Housing Support Worker in our Women's Services - Mary's Place program.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working Tuesday to Saturday, with rotations of days, afternoons, and nights. As a Housing Support Worker, you will provide respectful and appropriate housing support services to residential and non-residential clients, including case management, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling.

  • Develop and maintain a caseload of clients
  • Complete intakes and assessments for each resident
  • Design and implement interview schedules to evaluate the quality of life improvement of program participants
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and staff information
Requirements
  • A completed post-secondary education is required
  • Thorough knowledge of issues impacting cis women, trans, and non-binary individuals, including violence, abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty, and substance use
  • Experience working in a residential setting is preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality, and dignity
  • CPR certification
  • A valid Ontario driver's license (G2) is an asset
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages is considered an asset
