Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Regular Part Time) Company: Groves Memorial Community Hospital

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, providing comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients undergoing surgery.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Operating Room, Endoscopy Suite, Day Surgery, and Recovery Room
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Conduct thorough assessments, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as required
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • BScN an asset
  • Post Graduate Course in Perioperative Nursing required
  • Membership in RNAO and CNA is an asset
  • 1-3 years OR experience
  • Current BCLS
  • Current certificate in ACLS & PALS or willingness to obtain
  • Post Anesthetic Care Nursing certificate/course or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
Working Conditions:
  • Standard operating room hours: Monday – Friday
  • Must be able to respond to on-call situations
Compensation:
  • $56.00 per hour
