Job Summary:
The Retail Material Planner responsibilities to optimize the parts planning process and manage inventory in the Retail locations. Support Working Capital and replacement parts replenishment strategy to drive parts and equipment availability. The Material Planner reports directly to the Materials Planning Manager, Retail. This position is responsible for effect implementation, support and maintenance of the inventory planning processes. This role is eligible for remote work arrangements.

Where is the work:


This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing the planning process for all planned Qualified OEM and Wholesale parts for an unassigned group of Trane Parts Stores.Facilitate and manage the inventory replenishment processes with the creation of Stock orders using Software planning system.Analyze and use root cause problem solving to track and drive key metrics such as Availability and Inventory Turns.Review Parts forecast to ensure accurate stocking levels and meet customer and Seasonal demand.Collaborate and maintain communication with stores to maximize effectiveness of inventory planning.Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for partsExpedite requests to meet and exceed scheduled critical part requirementsAction and review monthly OSMI and Excess reports to identify actions to reduce and move slow moving inventory and support PIPO activities.Review current standard work, Create and Maintain new standard work.
• Support Product Management to support business growth on initiatives and New Product Launches, Promotions, and New Store locations.Work Closely with Store leaders and District General Managers to analyze qualifying and non-qualifying parts. Provide store stocking recommendations for qualified and Store requested parts.Travel to store locations as required, participating in process improvement projects and TrainingQualifications:

BA/BS degree or Associate degree/two years of college education + two years of related work experience. Or six years of work of related work experience in lieu of educationAPICS Certification (CPIM) and experience applying Lean principles preferred3 years preferred experience with Planning or Supply Chain focusing on Inventory Management and Standardizing Planning & ExecutionComputer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications - Advanced in ExcelServigistics and Prophet21 preferred.
• Prior experience with Tableau, Alteryx, and Visual Management systems (MDI) a plus.Productivity: identify and implement Inventory reduction/optimization projects to meet the corporate initiatives/goals. Monitor for reporting and tracking Inventory reductions.Considerable knowledge of industry related supply base.
• Skilled in production and supplier schedulingAble to provide direction and training to peers as needed.
• Basic mathematical skillsExperience in operations, inventory management, and Supply Chain processes.Experience with visual management systems MDIKey Competencies:
