Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Fluidigm. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly demand and supply analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Initiate and review production plans in response to changes and priorities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Manage Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and identify optimum inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Prepare quarterly buy plans for approval and initiate purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Highlight shortages, surpluses, and manage end-of-life and part transitions to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage global cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Produce Salesforce reports and close requests in ERP to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Initiate work process improvements in day-to-day planning and execution to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, science, or business administration with at least 8 years of industry experience in high-tech businesses, with a minimum of 3 years in a planning role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Well-versed in ERP systems and able to analyze and maintain them.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good organizational skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
