The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Choral Music Education to lead our Grade 4-6 choir, Coastline Singers. As a key member of our music education team, you will be responsible for directing rehearsals, developing and implementing music programs, and collaborating with colleagues to provide a high-quality music education experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and lead rehearsals for the Coastline Singers choir
  • Develop and implement music programs that align with HRCE's music education goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive music education experience for students
  • Recruit and manage volunteers and staff to support music programs
  • Develop and manage budgets for music programs

Requirements:

  • Experience directing a choir and choral methods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets
