Join our team at Protostatix Engineering Consultants, an Englobe Company, as a Structural Engineering Technologist in our Toronto office.

As a Structural Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in preparing engineering drawings, modifying designs, and ensuring that structural drawings and specifications meet project criteria and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering drawings and modify designs during the design and construction phases.
  • Assist in the preparation of functional, preliminary, and detailed design drawings.
  • Design drafting using AutoCAD, REVIT, and MS Office with excellent general computer skills.
  • Participate in the production of construction documents for structural projects.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other sub-consultants and project team members.
  • Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Civil engineering technology diploma from an accredited school.
  • Equivalent experience or education may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the consulting industry.
  • Working experience and knowledge in recent and current versions of AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office with excellent general computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
