Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced apprentice ironworkers with live plant experience. Our Fort McMurray Industrial projects are stable and long-term which means you can plan for your future, whether that be saving for your child’s education or your next amazing vacation.

Location of work: Fort McMurray Alberta
- Shift based position with 14 days on and 7 days off working 10 hours per day
- Working at heights
- Charter Flights from either Edmonton or Calgary; or Travel allowance provided for those eligible
- Site based camp accommodations provided
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Project end date: Summer 2025
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in erecting steel to complete structural steel structures, pre-assemble panalization, bridges and gangways
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to correctly erect structures
- Previous experience with layout, man lifts in congested areas and connecting mods is considered an asset
- Rigging and heavy lift experience: working with construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment
- Ensures that work is completed within deadlines
- Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision
- Must be flexible with duties to support project requirements
**Requirements**:
- Must be a registered apprentice recognized by a provincial authority with a structural or generalist certificate
- Previous experience in an industrial or live plant setting required
- Communication and team player attitude
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
