Job Summary

In this role, you will use your maintenance skills to perform predictive, condition-based monitoring, preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, upgrades, and operate all process control and other related equipment required in the operations and maintenance of the facilities and systems within the Eastern Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform predictive, condition-based monitoring, preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, upgrades, and operate all process control and other related equipment.
  • Participate in capital projects and lead extensive maintenance and repair projects.
  • Liaise with a variety of people, including coworkers, clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Take initiative and work in a team environment.
  • Perform manual labor and monitor contracting work.
Requirements
  • Trades license as a Millwright/Electrician and/or applicable skilled trade.
  • Willing to obtain Operator-in-Training (OIT) certification and apply or write level one exams within the first year.
  • Valid Class G driver's license.
  • Bilingual English and French would be an asset.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on-call after regular working hours.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Good knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Working experience/knowledge of the skilled trades for the maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment and structures.
  • Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulatory and legislative acts, codes, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of basic mathematics and chemistry.
  • Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and other technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with computers, including monitoring and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermal imaging.
