Job Summary

Boeing Canada is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structure Technician to join our team in Petawawa, Canada. As an Aircraft Structure Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, and modifying aircraft systems, as well as troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify aircraft systems
  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Configure aircraft and bench test equipment
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components
  • Document procedures and establish processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
  • Comply with safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness
  • Work under general direction, interfacing with On-Site Program Management
  • Acting in leadership capacity to oversee maintenance team
  • Effectively schedule maintenance to meet contractual requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience with sheet metal work
  • 1+ years' experience with composite repair
  • 1+ years' experience with painting aircraft/components
  • FAA Airframe/Powerplant (A&P) mechanics license, Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license, or Military equivalent
  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices
  • Ability to obtain Canadian Secret Level II Security Clearance
  • Eligibility to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-year experience as an Aircraft Certification Authority (or Military Equivalent)
  • DRMIS experience
  • Completion of a composites repair course (Advanced composite repair desired)
  • Current Canadian Secret Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government.
