Pediatric Neurology Associate Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Physician to join our team at the BC Children's and Women's Hospital & Health Centre. As an Associate Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our division.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the Pediatric Neurology inpatient/consultation service, working under the supervision of attending physicians and collaborating with residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform new neurological consultations and admissions, documenting patient information and communicating with families and consultant physicians.
- Manage patient care, including writing medical orders, responding to emergencies, and arranging consultations with other departments.
- Provide teaching and supervision for medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in quality improvement projects.
- Document patient information in accordance with CPSBC and organizational standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Minimum of two (2) years of accredited postgraduate training in Pediatric Neurology, verified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
- Successful completion of the Royal College Subspecialist Examination Affiliate Program (SEAP) in Pediatric Neurology.
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
- Must meet the CPSBC's English language proficiency requirements.
- Must be eligible for registration with the CPSBC in the Associate Physician class.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
- Ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with other professionals in complex, dynamic situations.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and follow-up.
