We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join our National Account Program. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth by identifying and securing new strategic customers and managing relationships to achieve business volume and revenue goals.

Your Role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for:

  • Hunting and closing new strategic customer accounts to expand the company's portfolio.
  • Overseeing strategic customers to drive organic growth within existing business units and identifying opportunities for expansion into new units.
  • Understanding the decision-making hierarchy of strategic customers and aligning management with strategic customer management to ensure strong executive relationships.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the logistics characteristics of the assigned market and acting as an industry subject matter expert.
  • Creating and managing a network of resources around strategic customers to optimize service delivery and value creation.
  • Identifying and mobilizing the necessary resources within the company to capitalize on value creation opportunities for strategic customers.
  • Serving as the primary lead for developing and managing the strategic customer business plan, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Meeting or exceeding business volume and revenue targets set by the company, ensuring consistent growth and profitability.
  • Acting as the single point of contact for selling all services and solutions across all business fields, coordinating with dedicated support representatives as needed.
  • Conducting regular business review sessions and arranging at least one "white board session" with each assigned strategic customer to uncover new opportunities and enhance relationships.
Your Skills and Experiences

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in logistics or a related business field.
  • Experience with logistics processes, systems, and solutions.
  • At least 5 years of freight forwarding sales experience.
