As a Technical Artist at Ubisoft Montréal, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between art and technology to create visually stunning and high-performance game features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish efficient and clear pipelines for asset creation and rendering.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for pipelines, tools, and procedures.
  • Conduct benchmarking and testing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prototype features and provide transparent performance reports.
  • Create and manage asset banks, including textures and other visual assets.
  • Ensure team members adhere to established procedures and standards.
  • Update documentation and fix performance bugs.
  • Train and support team members in technical and artistic aspects.
Requirements:
  • College diploma in videogame modelling or equivalent.
  • Experience in digital art content creation, including high and low-poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, and level art.
  • Experience developing for consoles, with at least two full production cycles.
  • Proficiency in software such as 3ds Max, Photoshop, or Substance Designer.
  • Scripting knowledge in C#, JavaScript, or maxscript.
  • Strong artistic skills, including proportion, color, and composition.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with creative and technical teams.

  • A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing your technical and artistic skills.
  • A CV highlighting your experience, education, and skills.
