Project Controls Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team at Aecon. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of our nuclear projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement project controls systems to ensure compliance with Aecon's standards and contract documents.
- Lead a team of project controls staff in planning, scheduling, cost control, change management, and risk management.
- Provide input into the continuous improvement of Aecon's project controls policies and guidelines.
- Oversee analysis and reporting of project performance key metrics, including CPI, SPI, and key commodity tracking.
- Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management plan to measure project performance and identify variances.
- Develop and implement project-specific project controls plans, documenting processes and procedures to be followed on the project.
- Lead the development and implementation of a project-specific change management plan, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and Aecon's standards.
- Provide commercial and technical expertise to support proposal development and provide commercial input into contractually defined project control requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all contract conditions regarding project controls requirements, project set-up, monitoring, and close-out.
- 10-15 years of related experience in project controls, preferably in the nuclear industry.
- Demonstrated analytical and adaptive thinking, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Quantitative, engineering, or construction management post-secondary degree.
- Strong team collaboration skills, with experience in leading high-performing teams.
- Detail-oriented approach, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
- Agility and flexibility in a dynamic environment, with experience in claims avoidance and negotiation.
- Leadership experience in high-performing teams, with a strong track record of delivering results.
- Microsoft Excel expertise, with experience in Primavera P6 and ERP systems.
- Cost management or estimating systems expertise, with experience in Hard Dollar, EcoSys, or PRISM.
- Due to the nature of the work, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.
- Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process, as well as reference checks.
