Skills and Responsibilities:
- Mass excavation, open pit mining, **PRODUCTION OPERATOR**
- Safe operation of an excavator
- Handling and/or moving material
- Effective communication to all site personnel and co-workers
- Maintaining daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
- Identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards
- Handling and manipulating objects on a repetitive basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Punctuality

**Requirements**

- Minimum three (3) years' experience
- Knowledge of the excavator/backhoe loading requirement
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and various local locations
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Team Player; able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
- Must have a full G license with a clean drivers abstract
- Current criminal record check is mandatory

Wages are based on experience
