Job Title: Road Foreman

Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) have merged to form CPKC, the only truly North American railway. As a Road Foreman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our 20,000-mile network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field evaluations of locomotive engineer train crews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement remedial training activities to address deficiencies and rule violations.
  • Coordinate and deliver conductor new hire training, including on-the-job training.
  • Oversee triennial recertification training for conductors and locomotive engineers.
  • Perform field efficiency testing and provide input on training course content.
  • Deliver skills training to conductors and locomotive engineers as needed.
  • Respond to and analyze train handling exceptions, incidents, and derailments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a qualified and practicing railway locomotive engineer.
  • Strong working knowledge of railroad operating rules and regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of railway operations.
  • Maintained CROR rules qualification.
  • Working knowledge of the relevant Collective Agreement.
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills.
