Job Summary: Field Technician 2 at Nordstrom

Nordstrom is seeking a skilled Field Technician 2 to support store hardware, software, and infrastructure, providing excellent service to employees and customers.

A valid driver's license and own vehicle are required. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Must be in close proximity to San Francisco, CA.

About the Role
  • Provide quick and effective assistance to users, working on-site through troubleshooting, remediation, and maintenance.
  • Utilize daily work management systems data to prioritize backlog of work and communicate identified issues/changes to leadership.
  • Protect the Nordstrom brand by ensuring customer/other protected data and intellectual property is protected.
  • Identify and analyze technical issues, creating effective plans for resolution.
  • Perform maintenance activities to prevent unexpected failures of technical equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding and consistently deliver within target SLA and KPI's for the specific area.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' tech support experience
  • 2+ years' experience troubleshooting, testing, or repairing technical equipment
  • Familiarity/experience working with Windows 10/11, Dell Desktop/Laptop, Zebra hand-held mobile scanners, thermal label printers, laser printers, access points, network hardware, and cabling
  • High motivation and self-direction with sound problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read/understand technical documentation and aptitude to learn quickly
  • Ability to function well in a fast-changing work environment
  • Ability to repetitively walk, bend, reach, stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50lb boxes without difficulty
