Senior Fullstack Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fullstack Developer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our digital banking team, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our online banking platform.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Software Development: Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards, using technologies such as Javascript, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain different applications.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate efforts and compile estimates, and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Expertise: 8+ years of progressive experience working in the IT industry in roles like developer and team lead, with expertise in Javascript, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Industry Knowledge: Current on industry best practice and secure coding, with a deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and SASS.
- Leadership: Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship, and champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.
