Principal Fullstack Programmer – Core Technologies

About the Role:

Behaviour Interactive, the largest Canadian gaming studio, is seeking a seasoned Fullstack Developer to join our Core Tech team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality backend and frontend features, collaborating with fellow programmers, and driving innovation in our cutting-edge video game development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and refactor systems to ensure fast, secure, and scalable performance for millions of concurrent players.
  • Fix complex bugs and optimize performance by profiling features and implementing optimizations.
  • Write unit tests, functional tests, and load tests to ensure the robustness and quality of features.
  • Collaborate with the Core Tech team and other disciplines to drive innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

  • At least fourteen (14) years of experience as a full-stack developer; experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
  • A full-stack generalist comfortable working on a wide variety of features: low- and high-level code, frontend, and backend.
  • Strong experience with relational and non-relational database technologies like DynamoDB, Redis, MySQL, and others.
  • Experience with NodeJS, Typescript, web frameworks (React/Angular), and AWS services is a big plus.
  • A solution-oriented mindset and a collaborative spirit.
