About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in mine closure, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the natural resource sector. You will be responsible for:
- Leading mine closure projects from initiation to completion
- Providing technical expertise to clients on mine closure-related matters
- Developing and implementing mine closure strategies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with mine closure
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 15+ years of experience in mine closure, preferably in the natural resource sector
- Eligibility to register as a professional engineer in Canada
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and technical skills
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Passion for creating a positive legacy for mining and the environment
