The Health Care Aide is a vital role within our communities, requiring a compassionate and skilled individual who is committed to providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date resident records and documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Assists with medication administration, including BP monitoring, catheter care, and mobility exercises.
  • Monitors resident well-being and reports any concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Performs other related duties as required to support common area cleaning, laundry, and resident care assignments.
  • Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the personal service plan.
  • Provides courteous and prompt service to residents, responding to call bells and door alarms in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Care Aid certificate program.
  • Medication Certification.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training and experience with medication assistance.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check (applicable to Ontario applicants) and a Criminal Records Check (applicable to British Columbia applicants).
