We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist III to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our mental health and addiction services, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with Tier-3 Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology, be registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology, and have a minimum of two years' clinical experience working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions.
You will be working within a Stepped Care framework, guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways. Each clinician participates in a consultation group to ensure collegial support and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.
About You- Successful completion of a Master's degree in Psychology
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions
- Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical supervision, learning, and professional development
- Demonstrated accountability and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, problem-solve, and utilize good judgment in decision-making
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
- Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain personal health
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Temporary Full-Time position, 75 hours bi-weekly
- Approximately 12 months
- Dates are subject to change
$48.80 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
