About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist III to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our mental health and addiction services, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with Tier-3 Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology, registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology, and a minimum of two years' clinical experience in the field of Mental Health & Addictions. You will be committed to providing culturally informed, non-judgmental patient and family-centered care, and have a strong understanding of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways.

About You
  • Successful completion of a Master's degree in Psychology
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
  • Minimum of two years' clinical experience in Mental Health & Addictions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hours
  • Temporary Full-Time position, 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately 12 months
  • Subject to change
Compensation and Incentives

$48.80 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
