Job Summary

This is a temporary full-time position, 18 months, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the technical aspects of drug distribution, maintaining high standards of inventory control, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the technical aspects of drug distribution, including purchasing, inventory control, and financial accountability
  • Maintain high standards of inventory control, adhering to current Broader Public Sector (BPS) purchasing practices
  • Perform administrative tasks, including billing and financial management
  • Participate in the training of new employees and contribute to the smooth functioning of pharmacy teams
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year community college Pharmacy Technician Program or recognized equivalent
  • Certificate of competency from the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada (optional)
  • Active licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT)
  • Two years of practical and related experience (preferred)
