About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Converting Set-up Operator to join our team at Novolex. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating bag making equipment to produce high-quality packaging solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate bag making equipment to produce high-quality packaging solutions
  • Perform quality control checks on all machines running to ensure compliance with customer specifications
  • Make adjustments to produce bags to customer specifications
  • Weigh and dispose of scrap generated by bag machines or quality checks
  • Tag rolls on hold for inspection and subsequent disposition
  • Move completed finished goods to staging area in warehouse
  • Responsible for area housekeeping, cleaning machine, perforations, bags, roll stock and packaging materials around the machine and common areas
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years prior work experience in a flexographic printing environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of Converting Bag Machine Operation is an asset
  • Possess leadership skills
  • Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Good basic math skills
  • Good verbal and written command of English
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Capable of working independently and as a team
  • Reliable attendance
  • Work overtime as required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
