Job Title: Child Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Support Worker to join our team at the YMCA Southwestern New Brunswick. As a Child Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized program plans for children.
  • Form strong relationships with children and their families to ensure a sense of belonging and support.
  • Participate in daily routines, including mealtime, rest time, and outdoor play.
  • Document and share daily journals with parents and team members.
  • Adhere to the YMCA and New Brunswick standards for child care facilities and abuse protocol practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working in child care.
  • Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma, Human Service Counsellor Certificate, or related studies.
  • Knowledge of the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework and/or Play to Learn is an asset.
  • Flexibility regarding assigned working hours.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication and customer service skills.
