About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and performing computed tomography examinations in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiological technology and be certified by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operating CT scanners and performing computed tomography examinations
  • Positioning patients to obtain high-quality images
  • Practicing sterile techniques and following radiation protection guidelines
  • Performing clerical duties related to patient handling and customer service
  • Traveling to other sites as required

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Has CAMRT certification and NSCMIRTP licensure
  • Has experience with CT imaging and IV procedures
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is able to work independently and as part of a team

Hours

This is a long-assignment full-time position, with approximately 75 hours biweekly. Call and shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $39.96 per hour. They may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
