Your Role on our Team: The IoT Specialist role is responsible for supporting IOT installations, inventory, recommending and implementing security policies for all IoT devices on Minto properties. This role will assist in management of a wide area, multi-building network

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in asset management (building inventory of IOT assets, and technical details)
  • Assist in installing, and managing IOT devices
  • Analyze cyber security trends using a mix of tools and analytical methodologies to hunt for threats not otherwise detected by configured security alerts.
  • Perform in-depth investigation of events of interest identified during threat hunt activities or security alerts received from various security technologies as per defined investigation and response procedures.
  • Liaise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders during the investigation process to determine whether a security incident has occurred, identify the root cause and provide appropriate recommendations for remediation.
  • Build knowledge of and stay current on developments in the cyber threat landscape to adapt investigation techniques and provide recommendations on responding to and remediating related incidents.
  • Lead the efforts of identifying, evaluating and mitigating risk for Operational technology assets.
  • Participate in Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Inventory Management activities as necessary.

We would like you to have:

  • Working towards a University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
  • IoT Security certifications and / or experience
  • Experience deploying, securing and implementing IoT technologies such as sensors, edge computing, cloud platforms, and communication protocols.
  • Experience managing cloud network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems, energy management systems, or similar systems
  • Knowledge of network and security infrastructure architecture, design and implementation (preferably Cisco & Cisco Meraki)
