Job Title: Skating Instructor Company: City of Belleville Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Skating Instructor to join our Community Services Department, providing instruction to children and youth in our Skating Programs. Purpose and Scope: As a member of our Community Services Department, this position will assist the Skating Instructor with providing instruction to children and youth in the City's Skating Programs. Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of participants and adherence to rules and regulations.
  • Represent the City with professionalism and follow all Staff Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide skating instruction and feedback to students and their parents.
  • Assist the Skating Instructor in emergency situations.
  • Assist in the administration and paperwork for the City's power skating programs.
  • Attend all Staff Training sessions and scheduled staff meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 15 years of age.
  • Currently enrolled in high school.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Certification from a recognized organization.
  • Previous skating experience.
  • Previous experience as a skating instructor is an asset.
About the Position: This is a temporary part-time position with approximately 2-5 hours of work per week, including evenings and weekends. The hourly rate is $18.92 per hour.
