Our client is leader in General Contracting Institutional New Build and Renovations. With project across Ontario. With a focus on delivering projects on time and on budget while maintaining a safe working environment for employees and subcontractors.


Job Role:

As the Assistant Site Supervisor your job requirements are as follows:

  • Reporting to and working along side Site Supervisor.
  • Maintains project administration in a correct and timely manner.
  • Orders materials and equipment and takes care of the necessary permits.
  • Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Manages sub-contractors.
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures.
  • Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope.
  • Prevents fines and work interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures.


Work Environment:

  • A variety of different environmental conditions and weather conditions
  • Working at heights and confined spaces
  • Standing, bending, lifting, repetitive tasks
  • Use of common tools including power tools
  • Wearing PPE such as hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of site assistant construction experience on commercial or institution project.
  • Ability to read construction blueprints and store elevation drawings
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines


Education and Experience Requirements:

College construction management certificate preferred.

Carpentry or Trade school an asset.

A valid driver’s license
