Responsibilities:

  • Leading technology teams in their day-to-day operations, and setting performance goals
  • Managing the development team to build, test, release, and maintain a scalable and reliable software system
  • Working closely with PM and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products on time
  • Having a 1:1 meeting with direct reports to make sure they are supported in their career growth and development goals
  • Tracking, analyzing, and monitoring technological performance metrics
  • Manage technical staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
  • Developing strategies for advancing partnerships, technology platforms, and external relationships
  • Conducting technical reviews of products and solutions to evaluate their applicability
  • Developing, tracking, and controlling the development of annual capital and operating budgets for purchasing tools, staffing, and ensuring effective operations
  • Development process management and support, or responsible for the comprehensive coordination of development and technology-related businesses


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 6 years working in a technological role with at least 3 years of managerial experience
  • Proven experience as an SDM or similar leadership role
  • Ability to conduct in-depth technical analysis and research- Strong leadership skills to manage multiple teams- Effective communication skills to translate complex documents and technical matters to stakeholders and non-technical staff
  • Ability to build appropriate environments to foster talents, innovation, and delivery of effective development strategies- Ability to anticipate and develop plans to address technological challenges
  • Proficiency in designing and developing software in PHP Laravel Framework
  • Experience in MYSQL or PostgreSQL and able to optimize SQL query performance
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Domain Driven Design and Test-Driven Development
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodology and Scrum Framework


Compensation and Benefits:

The hiring range for this position ranges from CA$100,000 - CA$130,000. Your actual level and salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
