Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our clients team in Edmonton, AB. In this Temporary role, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance work and ensuring optimal operational availability. The position requires travel to both Hay River and Norman Wells, providing a chance to engage with diverse operational environments and enhance your technical expertise. You will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting the safety protocols of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Support electrical maintenance work, including electrical isolation (Lock Out Tag Out - LOTO) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor maintenance.
- Plan and execute scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize production impact and maximize operational availability.
- Work closely with vendors and sub-contractors as required.
- Comply with the requirements of Management of Change (MOC) for plant modifications.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and simplification in your work.
- Promote and adhere to high Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) standards, demonstrating responsibility for the safety of yourself and others.
- Utilize Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to report safe and unsafe acts.
- Actively participate in a responsible waste management system.
- Attend and participate in the Operations morning shift meeting.
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Previous experience in a closely related position, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Discipline-appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
- A strong team player mentality, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues across various functions.
- Adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
