The Opportunity:Our dynamic team is growing, and we have a new opportunity for an Environmental Project Manager with 10-15 years of contaminated sites experience to work in a multi-disciplinary team that solves complex issues for our clients throughout Northern Canada. This position is one of two in the Remediation Program Management (RPM) team which has offices across Canada. This role will include the planning and managing environmental assessments and remediation of oil and gas sites in the Northwest Territories and Yukon, as well as mentoring junior staff.

You participate in a team environment, working closely with:
- Project Coordinators
- Other Project Managers
- Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads
- Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans.
- Preparing proposals and cost estimates, scheduling field staff and subcontractors.
- Compiling data for, and writing, reports including preparing conclusions and recommendations.
- Project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements to the terms of reference under WSP's Master Services Agreements.
- Training junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and oversight of remediation.
- Interfacing with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward.
- Working with other members of the team to ensure provision of the support necessary for completion of projects.
- Participating in a limited number of site visits during two field programs (winter and summer).
- University degree or diploma in engineering, or natural/earth sciences.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual site models of Upstream oil and gas sites.
- Experience working in the north is preferred.
- Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possessing a safety conscious attitude.
- Professional designation with eligibility to register in NWT and Yukon is preferred.
