The Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) may be responsible for but is not limited to;

  • Financial analysis of client companies, including reviewing financial statements, historical performance, and projections.
  • Market research and analysis to assess industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions that may impact business valuations.
  • Use of valuation methodologies to determine the fair value of businesses and assets.
  • Deep understanding of valuation methodologies
  • Responsible for conducting comprehensive business valuations and providing expert advice to clients
  • Conduct detailed valuations of businesses, securities, and intangible assets, preparing comprehensive valuation reports that adhere to industry standards
  • Provide valuation advice to support clients in M&A transactions, helping them understand the value of target companies or their own businesses.
  • Assist in financial due diligence by identifying key financial risks and opportunities that could impact the business valuation.
  • Offer valuation services for tax planning, compliance, and reporting purposes, ensuring adherence to regulatory and tax authority requirements.
  • Perform fair value assessments for financial reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including the valuation of goodwill, intangibles, and other assets.
  • Assist clients in purchase price allocations (PPA) following an acquisition, ensuring proper allocation of the purchase price to assets and liabilities based on fair value.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, presenting valuation results and explaining complex financial concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them understand the implications of valuation outcomes for their business strategy, tax planning, or legal matters.


There are several projects kicking off in 2025, some are remote, hybrid and there are also some part time engagements as well.
