Based out of any of our Ontario office locations, the Geomatics Project Manager who is also a Licensed Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) will report to the Business Unit Director – Energy and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that provides a full range of traditional surveying and advanced geospatial services to the energy market in Canada, supporting exciting infrastructure projects such as renewable energy generation, transmission, battery storage, hydroelectric generation, and oil and gas projects.

What You’ll Do:
The Geomatics Project Manager/OLS will be part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team. You will:
  1. Function as Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery including bidding and proposal preparation, project setup, logistics, resource and technical planning and execution, billing and collections.
  2. Provide project updates to Business Unit Directors and General Managers.
  3. Undertake project management and professional oversight of cadastral surveys.
  4. Supervise field crews in the field and remotely from office locations.
  5. Supervise drafting staff and QA/QC staff in the creation of survey deliverables relating to engineering surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys.
  6. Prepare survey reports, drafting and DTM processing reports, and control survey reports.
  7. Sign cadastral survey plans and reports.
  8. Engage directly with private and public sector clients, applicable government agencies, and other stakeholders to determine and fulfill project and client goals and requirements.
  9. Be responsible for internal and external client relations and business development.
  10. Work together with other TULLOCH business lines, including Planning and Engineering, to provide top-level integrated services to our clients.
  11. Conduct ongoing business development in the form of high-quality and responsive work as well as proactive business development efforts to maintain and grow our client base.
  12. Cross-sell TULLOCH’s range of services in the energy sector.

Who You Are:
You must be a Licenced Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS).
  1. You have 5+ years experience working in Geomatics project management or a related role.
  2. You have 5+ years of professional cadastral surveying experience, preferably in the Energy market.
  3. You have an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of state-of-the-art land surveying equipment and techniques.
  4. You have an aptitude for business development and exercise independent judgment in alignment with business objectives.
  5. You have experience with total station and GPS equipment.
  6. You understand LIDAR data and collection methods.
  7. You are proficient in CAD platforms and data processing software such as TBC.
  8. You understand Ontario Legal Survey information, including legal survey plans, Block maps, Title Records, and associated documents.
  9. You can prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment.
  10. You can travel for site inspections and fieldwork.
  11. You have experience working effectively within cross-disciplinary teams.
  12. You are able to travel and complete site inspections and fieldwork when necessary.

What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geomatics Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should have:
  1. High motivation with results-oriented focus.
  2. Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  3. Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  5. Ability to navigate confidential matters and manage sensitive data.
  6. A high degree of initiative and resourceful mindset.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  8. Valid Class G driver’s licence.
