We are hiring for a dynamic company based in Surrey, BC, dedicated to excellence. With a focus on fostering a positive work environment and nurturing talent, we are seeking a People & Culture Advisor to join our client's team. This role is integral to our clients commitment to maintaining compliance with BC employment standards while also fostering a culture of support and growth for our employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR and payroll-related matters, providing guidance and support to management and employees.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of BC employment standards and regulations, interpreting guidelines and advising on best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with the payroll administrator to ensure accurate and legally compliant processing of payroll, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Act as a resource for employees, addressing inquiries and concerns related to payroll, benefits, and other HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HR/payroll team to develop and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to HR policies, procedures, and compliance.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, with a strong emphasis on payroll and compliance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of BC employment standards and regulations, with the ability to interpret guidelines and advise on best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing and systems, with the ability to provide guidance and support to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
