Background:

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to assist with ongoing management and administration of their IT and network infrastructure. Our clients infrastructure supports roughly 500 employees on any given day.


Qualifications:

  • Eligible for Enhanced Reliability clearance with the Federal Government of Canada
  • 5 years experience as a Network Analyst working with Dell Hyper Converged Infrastructure, vCentre, vSphere, and site recover manager
  • 5 years experience working with Microsoft servers and databases and Cisco Networking technologies



Responsibilities could entail:


  • The clients IT environment is housed in two co-location data centre facilities and consists predominately of Dell Hyper Converged Infrastructure running VMWare vCentre, vSphere, and Site Recovery Manager.
  • The client has standardized on Microsoft Technologies for its servers and databases, Cisco technologies for its networking, and Cisco technology for its Telepresence and Video Conferencing.
  • Reporting to the Director, Information Technology and working directly with IT staff/contractors, the network analyst will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting client servers, databases, and network infrastructure.
  • The resource will be directly involved in ongoing monitoring and management of existing IT services as well as the installation, configuration, and implementation of new services or technologies.
  • The resource serves serve as a point of escalation for complex problems and requests stemming from the Service Desk.
  • Current priorities of the client include augmenting team strength and network and cybersecurity.
