As we continue to grow, we are looking for that ideal candidate to join our leadership team. Previous management and/or human resources experience is essential. Optical/optometric experience is preferred, but not a requirement for this position. We are looking for a caring, upbeat, positive individual to help oversee all aspects of our clinic's daily functions as well as be a liaison for patient care relations, to lead & manage our team of wonderful staff, and to assist the owner with management duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee effective daily operations of the clinic; including reception, optometry clinic, pretesting, optical dispensary, patient & staff scheduling, and delegate responsibilities to the appropriate departments.
  2. Assist in employee management; including hiring, training, managing, motivating, monitoring performance, terminations/disciplining, scheduling, and other relevant HR duties.
  3. Assist in employee relations; including running staff meetings, employee evaluations, conflict management, organizing staff functions & employee milestones, managing sick days, vacation days and tracking staff benefits.
  4. Act as a patient care liaison; provide direction & information as required to patients, as well as offer support and troubleshoot concerns that may arise.
  5. Assist in areas of reception, pretesting and optical as required (additional training will be provided if needed).
  6. Support business owner to help implement vision and direction of the clinic as well organize and implement set clinic operations, procedures & policies.
  7. Oversee and delegate month-end tasks; including administrative duties.
  8. Manage, maintain and order necessary clinical supplies as needed as well as communicate with suppliers, merchandisers, etc.

Essential Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous management or human resource experience.
  • Medical/ophthalmic experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Reliable.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Troubleshooting & problem solving skills.
  • Conflict management skills.

Job Type: Permanent Full-time

Salary: Starting at $22 per hour

Full-time hours: 32-40 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday with one evening shift per week and the occasional Saturday shift will be required.
