The Boutique Manager is responsible for overseeing the Maison Kitsuné Vancouver boutique, ensuring its seamless operation and embodying the brand's essence in every aspect of the customer experience. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, and creative vision to drive sales, foster a loyal clientele, and curate an inviting environment reflective of Maison Kitsuné's unique charm. Additionally, the Boutique Manager will provide support to the adjacent Café Kitsuné team as needed to ensure a cohesive brand experience.

As Boutique Manager for Maison Kitsuné Vancouver, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Sales, Financial & Reporting Management

  • Craft and execute strategies to exceed boutique sales goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Analyze key financial metrics, including P&L data, to maximize profitability while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Communicate business objectives and sales targets to the team, offering guidance and motivation to achieve results.
  • Build and maintain a robust clientele network, including local, international, and VIP customers, through personalized outreach and exceptional service.
  • Collaborate on and lead boutique-focused promotional initiatives, events, and partnerships to enhance visibility and grow traffic.
  • Ensure accurate completion of financial reporting and administrative tasks, including payroll and inventory management.


Leadership & Team Development

  • Embody and communicate the culture, values, and story of Maison Kitsuné, fostering a boutique atmosphere that reflects the brand's spirit.
  • Mentor and inspire the boutique team, conducting regular training sessions and one-on-one coaching to elevate performance.
  • Recruit and onboard talent, ensuring all team members are aligned with the boutique's high standards for customer service and operational excellence.
  • Organize team meetings to review boutique performance, product knowledge, and upcoming events.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and recognition, conducting performance evaluations to celebrate strengths and identify growth opportunities.


Client Experience & Brand Representation

  • Create a luxurious yet approachable shopping experience by cultivating genuine connections with clients and anticipating their needs.
  • Actively engage with customers on the boutique floor, sharing knowledge of Maison Kitsuné’s collections and offering styling expertise.
  • Ensure the boutique environment is impeccably maintained, including merchandising displays, fitting rooms, and stock areas.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting Maison Kitsuné’s unique blend of fashion, culture, and lifestyle to clients and the community.


Operations & Visual Merchandising

  • Oversee boutique inventory, ensuring efficient stock management and replenishment to meet client demands.
  • Execute visual merchandising directives to showcase collections in an aesthetically compelling way, aligning with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to boutique operational policies, including loss prevention, security, and compliance.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom, minimizing damages and maximizing product availability.


Collaboration with Café Kitsuné

  • Support Café Kitsuné operations when needed, ensuring alignment with Maison Kitsuné’s standards of quality and service.
  • Assist in creating a cohesive customer experience that seamlessly integrates both the boutique and café spaces.


This position is based in Gastown, Vancouver, and reports directly to the Director of Stores – Americas. The Boutique Manager will work closely with corporate departments in New York to bring Maison Kitsuné's vision to life in Vancouver.
