What You Will Do:

  • Lead complex growth and strategic projects.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and risk assessments.
  • Perform competitive business and financial analysis for development, acquisitions, and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and forecasts.
  • Advise on new greenfield projects, bids, acquisitions, and investments.
  • Manage strategy initiatives including operational modeling and project financing.

  • Lead analysis, negotiation, diligence, and integration of new initiatives.
  • Support development and implementation of financial strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies.
  • Execute long-term agreements including proposal development, due diligence, and financial analysis.
  • Cultivate relationships to optimize un-marketed opportunities.
  • Lead financial evaluations and due diligence processes.
  • Collaborate on high-stakes negotiations with Business Development and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial integration of new business agreements and acquisitions.
  • Monitor compliance of new agreements and acquisitions.
  • Optimize organization's growth and strategic portfolio.
  • Prepare valuation models for fair value, goodwill, and impairment analysis.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Commerce, Economics or Business Administration or related field.
  • Preferred professional designations include CPA, CA, CFA or CBV or an MBA.
  • 5-7 years of recent experience in a corporate or business development, financial analysis, investment banking or management consultant role, with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated acquisitions or other investment experience and excellent financial modeling skills.
  • Understanding of rate-regulated industries or energy utilities preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and experience with RFQ/RFP processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional project and people management skills.
  • Outstanding presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative on challenges and think strategically, prioritizing multiple tasks and issues to meet goals, and effectively executing on schedule.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced financial modeling skills (DCF, LBO, valuation, cash flow, comparables).
  • Advanced knowledge of transaction due diligence, deal structuring, contract negotiation, and execution.
  • Knowledge of utility regulatory revenue models.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint; ability to learn internal software programs.
  • Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, and execute effectively.
