Corporate Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounting Manager to lead our Canadian corporate accounting team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and maintaining our corporate accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Canadian corporate accounting team, including training and developing team members.
  • Partner with the U.S. corporate accounting manager to ensure consistency and best practices are applied.
  • Approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the team.
  • Review and approve monthly variance analysis and ensure the accuracy of results.
  • Assist with developing subject matter expert documentation and training programs.
  • Oversee preparation of tax working papers, budgets, and other analytical reports.
  • Ensure internal controls are appropriately designed and implemented.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end reporting.
Requirements:
  • CPA professional designation required.
  • Three or more years of public practice experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of managing and developing employees.
  • Experience working in a SOX control environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A mindset for process improvement and efficiency.
