Position Overview:

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for a range of products and services. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and reliability of supply.
  • Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement processes and drive efficiencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with EPICOR or similar ERP systems such as SAP is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with international procurement and logistics.
