Job Overview:
Join our team as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant where you will play a crucial role in treating speech, language, and communication disorders in diverse patient populations. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide individualized therapy plans that enhance patients' speech and language skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments under the supervision of a Registered Speech Pathologist to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in patients.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  3. Administer therapy sessions aimed at enhancing speech and language skills, including articulation, fluency, voice modulation, and comprehension.
  4. Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, and healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care and monitor progress.
  5. Utilize a variety of techniques, tools, and technologies such as games and exercises to engage patients during therapy sessions.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment strategies, and communication with fellow professionals.

Skills:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics or Speech Sciences from an accredited program.
  2. Possession of a valid driver's license with access to transportation.
  3. Previous experience working with Autism, pediatric and acute care populations is advantageous.
  4. Proficiency in medical terminology related to speech disorders and treatment methodologies.
  5. Exceptional communication skills for interacting empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
  6. Ability to create a supportive environment that fosters patient progress during therapy sessions.
  7. Strong organizational abilities to manage caseloads efficiently and uphold precise records.
